Ixia Appoints Maik Lankau as Vice President of Business Development and Global Alliances
CALABASAS, Calif. - (February 20, 2008) - Ixia (Nasdaq: XXIA), a leading, global provider of IP performance test systems, today announced that Maik Lankau has been joined the company as vice president, business development and global alliances. In this newly created role, Mr. Lankau will play a pivotal role in expanding Ixia's IP leadership in the next generation network technologies by pursuing strategic business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures and licensing agreements.
Mr. Lankau is an experienced telecommunications executive having most recently served as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Allied Telesis where he was responsible for all aspects of the company's public relations strategy, sales efforts, sales/service support organizations on a global scale. In this position, he spearheaded entry into the carrier market with a focus on fortifying company's presence in the tier 2/3 emerging carrier market segment. He simultaneously served as chairman of the EMEA region. Mr. Lankau also held the position of vice president, global carrier sales, business development and operations - EMEA at Allied Telesis.
