Ixia Recognized as Asia-Pacific Test and Measurement Company of the Year by Frost & Sullivan
Calabasas, CA. August 21, 2009 – Ixia today announced that it has been recognized by Frost & Sullivan as the leader in test and measurement in the APAC region for 2009. The award for IP Communications Test and Measurement Company of the Year, Asia Pacific was presented at a ceremony in Singapore last night. This award recognizes Ixia’s performance in the Asia Pacific market, with sales offices in most major APAC markets and R&D centers in India, Malaysia and the Philippines. Ixia registered a 40 percent growth in APAC sales in 2008.

Its acquisition of a wireless test vendor has extended its presence to Japan, China and Korea which are important markets in Asia Pacific. As a result of the acquisition, the company has become a single source solution provider for testing converged multi-play IP services over wireless and wire-line networks.”
“Ixia’s acquisition of wireless test provider Catapult,provides Ixia with a broader portfolio of solutions for the Test and Measurement market in the Asia Pacific region, where next generation wireless technologies are often deployed first,” said Naveen Bhat, Vice President of Asia Pacific for Ixia. “We have used this as a springboard to intensify our efforts with both telecommunications equipment manufacturers (TEMs) and service providers throughout the Asia Pacific region.”

TEMs will be able to produce products that are thoroughly vetted using the latest standards, and bring them to market in shorter and shorter cycles.
