Running Enterprise Application Traffic over Emulated Network Topologies

Many NEMs have learned that traditional stateless packet forwarding tests do not identify problems associated with real-life enterprise applications. IxNetwork has seamlessly integrated Layer 4-7 application traffic emulation provided by the Aptixia IxLOAD. The end result is the realistic emulation of L4-L7 enterprise application traffic over advertised L2-L3 network topologies.

For example, with this feature, IxNetwork can emulate both HTTP clients and severs over an MPLS network advertised by emulated PE and CE routers behind Ixia ports. Test engineers now have the ability to simultaneously control the scaling of L2-L3 emulated topology for either IPv4 and IPv6, and enterprise applications over the emulated topology, including HTTP, TCP, FTP, SSL, E-Mail, RTSP, Video, Voice, RTSP, Telnet, as well as Triple Play combinations that include simultaneous data, video and voice. Traditional stateless traffic can also be applied at the same time as application traffic on the same physical port so to provide line-rate traffic loads with a combination of stateless and stateful traffic.
