Multiple transceiver types

I needed 10G test ports with multiple interface types. Ixia is the only vendor that lets me choose 10GBASE-T, XFP or SFP+ interfaces.

Accurate latency measurements

We needed to test our ultra-low latency 10G switch at capacity. We evaluated multiple test solutions, but found that Ixia offered the most accurate and repeatable latency metrics. Ixia was much better than its competitors when it came to intrinsic latency adjustment and calibration with different transceivers.

Realistic network traffic modeling

We realized that the routers in our network performed differently when tested with real-world application traffic profiles, rather than simplistic packet blasting. IxYukon gives us the 10G port scale that we need, and Ixia's sophisticated software runs voice, video and data sessions over emulated routing topologies. Now we can truly measure failover in terms of user QoE.
