Creating TCP Connections
As a IxChariot user, you may need to create and run tests where the device under test will have a very large number of static TCP connections open. To help you achieve this objective, we created a simple utility program that merely opens connections between a pair of TCP/IP computers. This utility, called Connect_em, is unsupported and provided free of charge. The Connect_em.zip file includes instructions on how to run the utility (Connect_em.doc),plus a readme file with instructions on how to install the utility.
SetAddr: Virtual IP Addresses on Windows NT and 2000
The SetAddr command-line utility was written to help IxChariot users assign a series of virtual addresses to a single network adapter. Virtual IP addresses let you use a handful of computers to realistically represent hundreds or even thousands of endpoint pairs in your IxChariot tests. The application commands and data IxChariot sends to these virtual addresses emulate the traffic generated by end users on your network.

SetAlias
The SetAlias program is used to set or change the APPC name of a Performance Endpoint running as a Windows NT client in a Microsoft SNA Server environment. When the program is run with no parameters, it displays the current APPC alias. When given a parameter, it sets or updates the APPC alias. To make the alias take effect, stop and start the SnaBase Service, or re-boot the computer.
