Overview: Triple-play services deployed over an IP network place stringent demands on the network and application infrastructure. Designing and maintaining networks that meet the unique requirements of these services is a critical aspect of a successful deployment. Assessing the capacity of content delivery networks and network edge components is crucial to understand as subscriber counts grow. Ultimately the Quality of Experience for the subscriber for each service type must be maintained in the presence of all other services being deployed over the common IP infrastructure.
Network and application test tools can provide significant value in assessing the true performance and quality aspects of supporting triple-play services for both equipment manufacturers and service providers. This Webinar will provide a framework for understanding the elements of testing for a triple-play rollout - from application emulation testing to subscriber scaleability testing to complex QOS implementations to ensure voice and video quality. Use cases will illustrate the implementation of these practices in real-world scenarios.

Hosts: Christian Buerger, Product Manager, Ixia; Dave Swan, Director Worldwide WLAN Sales; Simon Hill, Events Editor, Light ReadingSubject: Why test 802.11 devices and networks
Overview: Wireless LANs are a reality in enterprise networks. Initially, this extension of the traditional wired Ethernet network was driven by the mobility benefits provided by the wireless network. With the mobility question solved, the key challenges currently lie in ensuring the same level of application access performance as in the wired world, no matter whether the application is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, email access, or VOIP implementation.
This Webinar proposes a methodology for testing the performance of your 802.11 network using IxChariot - the primary test tool used for certifying WiFi-compliant devices today. Detailed test cases for network throughput, client/server response time, and voice and video quality testing across the WLAN network are provided and illustrated with concrete customer scenarios.

Overview: Triple-play services running on an IP network place stringent demands on the network infrastructure. Designing and maintaining networks that meet the unique requirements of each of these services is an important aspect of a successful application rollout. For example, identifying the impact of a new video streaming application on VOIP quality or application response times can be critical in determining the type and required scaleability of new network equipment and WAN service contracts.
IxChariot is a flexible tool you can use to assess the performance of your network in supporting triple-play services. This Webinar will provide you with a decision-making framework to test your network and network devices for triple-play traffic rollout, starting from simple traffic emulation for pre-deployment testing to more complex QOS implementations to ensure voice and video quality. Concrete customer cases will be used to illustrate the breadth of functionality in IxChariot to assist you in making your triple-play network a reality.
