In May 2012, Ixia purchased Anue Systems of Austin, TX and its network visibility products. Anue was originally founded in 2002 to help network engineers and scientists monitor and test complex networks. The company’s solutions solved the problem of how to attach network and security tools to a network with limited port connections.

Today, Anue technology is embedded in Ixia solutions and provides the high-density packet processing, drag-and-drop configuration interface, and context-aware filtering in Ixia Vision Series network packet brokers.
