Service Provider Strengthens Defense Against Cyberattacks
The massive network of this high-profile provider of Internet services in Japan is exposed to cyberattacks on a daily basis. As a result, the company needed a strong security infrastructure that would identify and prevent cyberattacks in real-time, while minimizing network latency and and any impact on its end-users. The company deployed Ixia's external iBypass switch in front of their powerful new intrusion prevention system (IPS) to protect network availability during live traffic inspection. They also deployed a high-speed Ixia network packet broker (NPB) to quickly aggregate traffic from multiple network links, remove data that did not need IPS inspection, and route traffic back into the network at very high speed.
